Show/Breed Contract

Cornhusker Cane Corso Show / Breed Contract

Before rehoming, puppies will be checked by a licensed veterinarian and determined to be in good health with vaccinations and worming up to date. Puppies will also be microchipped and the buyer is responsible for registering the microchip.

Puppies need to be checked by your own licensed vet within 3 business days of receiving to verify the puppy’s good health upon arrival and to ensure you will continue to have your pup under good care. Cornhusker Cane Corso takes no responsibility for any communicable disease a puppy may receive after 3 business days of puppy’s arrival.

All puppies come with their tails docked and rear dewclaws removed.

Puppies will be guaranteed against hip dysplasia for 30 months. If hips are not evaluated by 30 months of age, this guarantee becomes void.

We feed our dogs a raw diet along with a high quality kibble to help ensure the best possible nutrition for fast growing puppies and healthy mature dogs. This is extremely important for the dog’s growth and continued health. We recommend you feed a comparable diet for this guarantee to hold.

Puppies who are always confined to a crate will also not have the hip dysplasia guarantee, as proper exercise necessary for proper growth and development. You will also care not to overexert the puppy until fully developed (24 months).

If you don’t have the time or money to properly care for a puppy, dog, or any animal or pet,  don’t buy one.

You will continue to properly care for your Cane Corso including all necessary immunizations and heartworm, internal worm and parasite protection, including flea and tick prevention.

The puppy must have an OFA or PennHIP test done between  24 and 30 months of age (done not within 2 months of a heat cycle). NO LATER. If the OFA/PennHip results are moderate hip dysplasia or worse, we will replace your puppy. You must notify us of this immediately. You must send us the OFA or PennHIP papers with the dog’s microchip # on it and a picture (snapshot) of the x-ray. My vet will verify the condition to be true. Puppy’s original registration papers must also be sent back to us before replacement is made. We will replace with a puppy as soon as a comparable pup becomes available. Buyer is responsible for ALL shipping charges associated with the new puppy brought in. Replacement of a puppy will be done only once on the original puppy.

Puppies will carry the Cornhusker name along with their name on their registration papers. At Cornhusker Cane Corso, we have done everything to produce healthy, stable, capable puppies, both in breeding and early socialization. It is the buyer’s responsibility to continue this by taking the puppy to basic obedience training and and advanced obedience training before eighteen months of age. This will help your puppy’s confidence and make him more socialized and well mannered. Remember,  the cute little puppy you have now will eventually grow into a large, powerful dog and needs to be under control and obedient. This is part of responsible dog ownership.

The dog is not allowed to be used in any illegal activity, or bred to dogs of another breed, or to Cane Corso of lesser quality. If you want to breed your dog, let us know and we will try to assist you as much as possible in finding a compatible match for your dog that will increase the chances of producing offspring ideal in health, temperament, type, and ability. Our dogs are of superior breeding and it is our desire that their offspring carry the same quality both in temperament and conformation. Offspring from Cornhusker dogs will never be sold to puppy mills or pet stores to be resold for profit. Buyer must be responsible to place all offspring directly into good homes.

Females will not be bred before 24 months of age.

We reserve the right to use any Cornhusker Cane Corso stud for breeding purposes - that means ANY stud bearing the Cornhusker Cane Corso name, should we choose to do so. This does not mean your dog will be used, it just reserves us the right to do so if we choose. There will be a reasonable compensation for any stud use.

If the puppy is abused in any way, Cornhusker Cane Corso has the right to reclaim the dog at any time, with no compensation made.

Under no circumstance do we grant cash refunds or accept any liability for medical expense, veterinary fees or any other expense related to the care of your Cornhusker Cane Corso. Cherry Eye, entropion and ectropion are common conditions with all molosser breeds and are not covered by our guarantee.

Any breach of this contract will make it void. There is NO other guarantee other than those stated on this document and in this contract. By signing this, buyer and seller agree to uphold their part of this agreement
